Looking for Alaska - A quote from Looking for Alaska by John Green
I found this podcast a little more challenging to do. I started out by recording myself on audacity after I downloaded it. I managed to figure out how to select pieces of my recording and just press the delete button to delete out things I didn't want. I also selected some parts of my recordings and went to 'Effects' and played around with those. I thought that was pretty easy until it came time to put it onto my blog. It wouldn't upload as a video so I went to some websites to upload my recording. Audacity saves the files as .aud instead of the typical .mp3 so my recording wouldn't upload to any website. I finally went to 'File' and 'Export as Mp3' but it wouldn't let me do it without installing another free program, Lame. I installed the program and it finally worked and saved as an .mp3 file. I then went to yourlisten.com and uploaded my recording and thankfully there was a link on the website to upload to Blogger. This was definitely a little more challenging but once again, patience is the key. Hope that helped everyone out :)

Nice work Kristin. I enjoyed your podcast and I completely agree with you that patience is the key and has been throughout this course! Have a great Valentine's Day. Happy Blogging! :)
ReplyDeleteKristin,
ReplyDeleteGood job on your podcast...you voice was strong and clear and your reading was very fluid. I agree also that patience is the key. I had many frustrating moments myself. Thanks for walking us through the process as you tried new things...that will be very helpful in the future. Would you go this route again or would you try something different if you had to complete a similar assignment? Once again, thanks for the help and good luck with everything!
