Introduction

Hello! My name is Kristin Roth and I am 19 years old. I currently live in Westfield, Indiana with my parents and graduated from Westfield High School this past June. I am going to school full time and I work at Smoky Row Elementary School in Carmel. I work every morning and three days a week after school so I am constantly busy. On my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and boyfriend. I moved to Indiana about five years ago from Florida, so winter is still rough for me! I am definitely not used to it yet. I plan on moving back to Florida in a few years to teach. I have a two year old niece that is in Florida and I would love to be able to be at the same school as her!

I found Blogger very simple to use. I've had to create blogs for other classes and I used LiveJournal, which I thought was a little more difficult. This site is very user friendly with the templates and other options that are available. Uploading the slideshow was the only semi-difficult task to do, but as long as you have the website (http://slideshare.net) and patiences you'll be fine! I think blogs are a great idea. For example, as a teacher you get stressed a lot so blogging is a way to vent. Also, parents love to know what is going on in the classroom. I think it is a good idea to post what you guys did each day, or maybe even just a weekly post. At my work, we try and post on Twitter as much as possible and the parents love it!

  3. Hey, thanks for the nice comment on my blog! That's awesome that you work at Smokey Row Elem - I was also wondering what you do there. I'm sure it's a great classroom experience! I can't wait to spend some time in a real classroom instead of just talking about what it will be like all the time.
    I also like your layout!
Go Shamrocks! I'm a WHS alum too :)

  4. I really can't believe that you had to move here from Florida. Wow! I would give just about anything to move to Florida. I am constantly telling myself once I graduate I will be moving there to get away from the snow and just to be in a different atmosphere. Your layout for your blog is very nice. By the way I was wondering are you like a teacher assistant at the school or what exactly is it that you do?
